The Challenge

Once you’ve registered, the Polar Bear Challenge is a 21-day competition that gives your class a chance to reduce its energy consumption in the classroom, at home or both. Students should work together to decide what they want to do as a class (lower the thermostat two degrees Fahrenheit, recycle, have a meatless Monday lunch, compost, turn off the water while brushing their teeth, unplug unused electrical items, etc.) and then spend at least 21-days between March 1 – April 20, 2018. To be eligible for prizes, teachers must register and submit their results and photos to the Zoo by April 21, 2018
